TeXample.net has a new maintainer
I’m pleased to announce that Stefan Kottwitz has taken over as the main maintainer of TeXample.net. I created the site in 2008 primarily as a place to host the collection of TikZ and PGF examples that I started to maintain in 2006. For the last couple of years I have not been an active member of the TeX-community, mostly because I don’t use TeX on a daily basis anymore. TeXample.net has therefore not been updated since early last year. Recently I decided to officially stop maintaining the site, but before I got around announcing it publicly, I was contacted by several prominent members of the TeX community. They all offered their help. Stefan even offered to host the site on his own server. I gladly accepted his offer.
I have learned a lot working on TeXample.net and from all the feedback I have received over the years I know that it is a useful resource for a lot of people. I’m therefore very happy that the site can continue to live and I’m looking forward to seeing it evolve.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks for your work and congratulations !
Thanks, Kjell, for all your work over the years. I'm immensely grateful for the start this website gave when I first started using TikZ, and it has changed my life. And Stefan has simply been fantastic. This is a wonderful community. Happy New Year, everyone!
@Jimi: Thank you for your kind words.
thanks a lot for this webpage, it was (and is) one of the best pages I have seen to learn tikz and get new ideas for fancy graphics!
and also thanks a lot to the new maintainer for the new fancy examples!
This is great news! Thanks, Kjell, for having created this site and given us the chance to enjoy the examples. And thanks to the new maintainer for taking over.
